Our History

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges—Marbel, Inc. (RMMC Marbel) was started in 2008 by Jose Mari R. Millado, son of the late Florante G. Millado, who owns Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges in General Santos City. In its first year of operation, the school started offering TESDA-accredited Programs, specifically Programming NC IV.

In 2010, in its second year of operations, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges –Marbel Inc. applied for CHED programs for baccalaureate courses such as:

- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Marketing Management

- Bachelor of Science in Criminology

- Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English

- Bachelor of Elementary Education

- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

In 2011, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted the first temporary permit under the directorship of Dr. Elois W. Paderanga, Ph.D, CESO III. In the Academic Year 2011 – 2012, RMMC-MI started its first year of offering baccalaureate courses with 176 students for the first semester and 190 students for the second semester in all programs.

With the increase in student population, the government granted the school another temporary permit to accept second-year and third-year enrollees on March 20, 2012. The school underwent a series of visits, both by CHED and RQAT personnel, in preparation for government recognition permits.

On March 11, 2013, CHED granted the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing permanent government recognition, making BSBA Marketing Management the first program to be given recognition.

On April 1, 2014, the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, Filipino, and Math was granted the same permanent government recognition.

On May 14, 2014, the Bachelor of Science in Criminology was also granted permanent government recognition.

On May 16, 2014, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology was granted the same permanent recognition.

In 2016, Kristoffer Franz Mari R. Millado, MA, the College President, decided to offer the Senior High School Program, and the Department of Education granted RMMC-MI the permit to provide Grade 11 for School Year 2016 – 2017.

In 2017, RMMC-MI took another milestone as Ma. Andrea Patricia M. Millado was appointed as the new college president. In her first year as president, the Department of Education (DepEd) granted the permit to offer Grade 11 and Grade 12. In the same year, the Commission on Higher Education granted additional courses to provide for Academic Year 2017 – 2018:

- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Financial Management

- Bachelor of Science in Social Work

- Bachelor of Arts in Sociology

- Bachelor of Arts in English

- Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics

- Associate in Computer Technology Leading to BS in Information Technology

In 2019, these programs were granted their first-year permit to operate:

- Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems (BSAIS)

- Bachelor of Tourism Management (BSTM)

As stated in the Board Resolution, the board decided to offer BSAIS and BSTM in June 2019.

In December 2020, these programs were granted their first-year permit to operate:

- Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration

- Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Science

- Bachelor of Science in Psychology

During this time, Bachelor in Physical Education received its first and second-year permits to operate, while these programs were granted government recognition:

- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management

- Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management

- Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System

In 2022, RMMC-MI applied for the Quality Management Systems Certification or the ISO 9001:2015, which aims to allow the institution to expand into other markets, different countries, and specific industries with its quality-laden practices. In the same year, RMMC-MI gained its ISO 9001:2015 certification from SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc.

In the same year, RMMC-MI produced the top 10 in the September 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers Elementary level in the person of Ana Marie M.Agustin.

In 2023, RMMC-MI produced the top 1 in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Criminologists in the person of Jericson B. Jalagat.

On September 1, 2023, The Research, Extension, External Affairs, and Development Office (REEDO) spearheaded the initiative to adopt a community to support development - the iKAAGAPAY. This is a partnership between RMMC-MI and the Local Government Unit of Barangay Saravia.

In February 2024, the Bachelor of Library and Information Science received government recognition.

In March 2024, the Bachelor of Physical Education program received government recognition.

At present, the following programs have their ongoing application for government recognition:
